Draft 1.0 – December 16th 2025
for a future lesson. I found it when I publish a draft of a future lesson it creates more of a sense of urgency for me to eliminate distractions, focus and get the lesson completed and published.
What is this? Doing a deep dive on your ability, or lack of ability to deal with physical pain.
Types of pain:
+Physical pain/discomfort in training and in competition.
+Physical pain from injuries.
One of the reasons why I’m doing this lesson/ topic is to compare my pain tolerance compared to other athletes. Myself I have identified overtime that when it comes to physical pain in the body I typically have low tolerance – sometimes I have severe lack of the ability bump a body part sharply (cringe).
I spent a lot of time with athletes that have a very high tolerance for physical pain pain from injuries or tender pain points on the body (feet).
A crucial area that’s going to tie into this series of lessons is going to be pain pain medications and introduction to addiction. Athlete pain med addiction 101 – a orientation from a experienced addiction treatment practitioner. For the parents; crucially important knowledge and insights about how and why some athletes become dependent / addicted on pain meds, tactics and strategies how to avoid your athlete getting addicted to pain meds.
additionally this topic well give me the opportunity to open up and discuss my experience with substance abuse disorder + my experience with addiction and beating my addiction through education and treatment.
